Characterised by beautiful and rugged mountain ranges, the Lower North Island has a myriad of stunning trout waters on offer to explore. From large lowland rivers with very high numbers of both rainbow and brown trout to more remote and beautiful small spring-fed or backcountry style streams with more challenging but less fish of much larger size.

These unique places have been Johnny's home waters for over 20 years.

Note:   We highly recommend to book a number of days. This allows you time to adjust to our unique style of fishing techniques and New Zealand's wary trout. It also allows more travel time to give you better chances of success on each given day dependant on weather conditions. There are days on the water that can be very challenging for the angler to say the least, so by booking a number of days I can ultimately give you the best opportunity of shots at fish.
